BREAKING: Many feared killed, houses burnt as Plateau boils again

Some yet-to-be-identified gunmen have attacked the Te’egbe community in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, killing an unspecified number of residents.

DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred on Friday morning when the assailants stormed the community with sophisticated weapons.

According to an eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent from the community, about 10 bodies have been recovered while scores are still missing.

Details of the incident are still sketchy as of the time of writing this report.

However, when contacted by DAILY POST, the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ubah Gabriel confirmed the attack.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police is at the scene to assess the damages done during the attack.

He said, “We are aware of the incident, the Commissioner of Police is currently there, details will be communicated to you shortly. I will release a press statement”.
