BREAKING: Masari storms residence of murdered commissioner amid battle to recover his corpse

Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina State is currently at the residence of his commissioner who was assaissinated, on Wednesday.

Daily Trust had reported how Dr Rabe Nasir, Commissioner of Science and Technology, was murdered at his residence in Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis.

He was stabbed in the stomach in his sitting room while his body was dragged into a toilet where it was locked.

The governor, top members of his cabinet and security operatives are currently at the residence of the commissioner to retrieve his corpse.

Sanusi Baba, Commissioner of Police, and Director of Department of State Services (DSS) in Katsina were on ground as their men forced open the door of the apartment where Nasir was killed.

The deceased’s phone and that of another person were recovered at the scene.

Journalists were later sent out of the residence while the operation to recover the corpse went on.

The Police Commissioner later said the corpse had been recovered and evacuated to Federal Medical Centre, Katsina.

“He was stabbed last night but we discovered this evening. A suspect has been arrested and investigation is ongoing,” the CP said.
