Minimum wage: Indefinite strike begins Monday June 3, says labour
Organised Labour and the Federal Government could not agreed on acceptable minimum wage for public service and other workers.
It has therefore declared a nationwide industrial action.
Indeed, the organised labour comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Friday announced that the indefinite strike would commence on Monday, June 3.
Festus Osifo, TUC President, announced the decision at a joint news conference with the leadership of the NLC in Abuja on Friday.

The strike decision follows the expiration of an earlier request to the federal government to conclude negotiations for a new minimum wage before the end of May 2024.
FG’s last offer, FIJ gathered, was a N60,000 minimum wage, but organised labour said it fell short of their six-figure demands.
