BREAKING: Osi Balogun of Ibadanland dies
In Oyo State, the Osi Balogun of Ibadanland, Lateef Gbadamosi Adebimpe, has passed away.
The monarch, who was to have been hospitalised since July 13, died on Wednesday after battling an undisclosed ailment.
He was one of the high chiefs in Ibadan who were promoted to the status of Oba.

Sources familiar with the development disclosed that the deceased, prior to his death, was last seen in public on Friday, July 12, during the coronation of the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin, Ige Olakulehin I.
It is gathered that the deceased’s father, Oba Gbadamosi Akanbi Adebimpe, was the 35th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Oba Adebimpe, who reigned for 18 months, was crowned on December 10, 1976, and joined his ancestors at the age of 85 on July 17, 1977.
