Breaking: Punch replaces daily, weekend titles editors

The management of Punch newspapers has removed its editors for daily and weekend titles.

It was learnt on Friday afternoon that Dayo Oketola (Daily editor) and Olusola Fabiyi (editor of the weekend titles) were asked to resign from their positions.

No reasons were immediately given for the action.

Newstrends.ng learnt that Tunji Abioye, and Samson Folarin had been asked to step in.

A former politics editor of the newspaper, Friday Olokor, shared the news on Facebook, adding that the latest action by the management had created tension in the newsroom.

“Tension in PUNCH, mgt asks Daily, Weekend Editors to resign! TUNJI ABIOYE, SAMSON FOLARIN step in,” Olokor stated.
