BREAKING: Youths begin march against mass protest in Lagos

Youths in Lagos state on Monday, July 29, held a counter rally to say “no” to the planned August 1st nationwide protest.

Recall that newstrends reported that some Nigerians were planning to protest against economic hardship in the country.

The demonstration, which is gaining traction on social media, has been scheduled to be held across all states of the federation as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, starting from August 1.

The youths who came from different locations converged on the Lagos Island area of the state to express their support for the Tinubu-led administration, while calling on other youths to “shun violent protest.”

Alluding to the 2020 #EndSARS protest that led to the destruction of property and loss of lives in the state, the youths frowned on its recurrence and would stop it from happening again.
