Buhari chief of staff Gambari hands over to Gbajabiamila
Chief of Staff to former President Muhammadu Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, has handed over to his successor, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The brief ceremony was witnessed by President Bola Tinubu on Monday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Tinubu on Friday appointed Gbajabiamila as his chief of staff.
Gbajabiamila, who is the outgoing speaker of the House of Representatives, had said in a tweet that he would assume office on January 14.
He has spent 20 years in the lower chamber and was re-elected to represent Surulere 1 federal constituency in the February 25 general elections.
He was first elected to the House in 2003 and had won five straight elections.
He was elected as the speaker of the House in 2019.
