Updated: Buhari finally joins Tinubu campaign train, says he won’t disappoint

  • Seeks support for Adamawa female gov candidate

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday joined the campaign train of the All Progressive Congress presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in Adamawa State.

The President also urged the people to make history by electing the first female governor in the country under the APC in the state.

Buhari, who spoke during the campaign rally held at the Mahmud Ribadu Square in Yola, said, “I am here to present to you the presidential candidates of our party, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the governorship candidate in Adamawa Aishatu Binani.”

He spoke both in English and Hausa, adding, “Please don’t shame us; vote for Bola Tinubu. He would work for the country; he would not disappoint you. And the people of Adamawa will set a record for voting for a female governor; we in the APC are backing her.”
