President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday travelled to his Daura hometown in Katsina State for a fresh membership registration being conducted by his party, the All Progressives Congress and other official engagements.
Katsina State Governor, Bello Masari, received the President at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport in Katsina, before he proceeded to Daura.
The president is in his hometown on a four-day visit for other official engagements.
Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, in a statement on Friday, said that Buhari would participate in the membership registration of the APC while in Daura.
“The President considers this exercise as a very important one for the nation’s democracy and its yearning for good leadership as a requirement of the process of nation building,” Shehu said.
