President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the Secretary to tidy up the quarterly review process and assessment of ministries for the third and fourth quarters of 2022, which will form part of the transition documents of his administration to the incoming government.
The President gave the directive on Tuesday at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Ministerial Performance Review Retreat.
He ordered all ministers and permanent secretaries to ensure that the performance reports of their ministries were submitted on a quarterly basis to the Office of the SGF for review by the Central Delivery Coordination Unit to achieve the objective.
“The outcome of these reviews would be made available for my consideration,” he also said.
The President also said, “Our collective goal is to map out a transition plan for the incoming administration to ensure proper documentation of all the policies, programmes and projects of government with an up-to-date status of implementation.’’
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has praised the Buhari-led administration for creating “lasting legacies” for the country and promised to remain a friend and ally of the President even after his tenure in 2023.
