Buhari vows to be ruthless with terror financiers

President Muhammadu Buhari says anyone found financing terrorism will be ruthlessly dealt with by his administration.

He stated those sponsoring terrorism use their resources gathered over the years to disturb his administration.

Buhari spoke in an exclusive interview with NTA News on Friday.

He said, “Their motive is that they are made relevant and they want to use their resources they accumulated over the years to prove that they are still around and the administration will deal with them. Anybody caught will be dealt with.”

Speaking on insecurity, which has plagued his administration, Buhari expressed optimism they can be tackled before the end of his tenure.

“That’s my hope. As I said, number one thing is security. If you don’t secure the country, people will not invest.

“That was why those who organised the EndSARS, I sent all the Minsters back to their constituencies, constitutionally the ministers represent their state, I said they should go to their state. Let them speak to the governors, political leaders, traditional leaders and very importantly let them speak to the youths,” he said.

Buhari stated that it was in the interest of youths to make Nigeria secure because burning institutions, factories won’t provide them job and investors won’t approach the country.
