Buhari Would Not Have Become President If Not For Me- Tinubu

Former Governor of Lagos State and a presidential aspirant on the platform of the All Progressive Congress Bola Tinubu has reminded President Muhammadu Buhari that he made him President in 2015.
Tinubu, while speaking with delegates in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital said after Buhari’s failed attempts at becoming Nigeria’s President, it was his intervention in 2015 that led to his victory.
“He tried the first time, he failed. He tried the second time , he failed. He made a third attempt and he failed. In fact after the third time, he cried openly on National television. He vowed never to contest again.
“It was then I went to meet him in Kaduna and I told him this was not a matter of crying. You will contest again,” Tinubu said.
The APC presidential aspirant also said that since Buhari became President he has not demanded of him any favour.
“I have not asked him for food. I didn’t ask him for ministers. I did not ask him for contracts. “
Tinubu it is time for the presidency to return to Yoruba land saying when it is brought to Yoruba land, “I must be the candidate.”
Tinubu had earlier in his speech to the delegates told Governor Dapo Abiodun that he would not have become Governor if not with his help.
He said for about 25 years, he has been making people to occupy political positions, it is now time for him to be the President.
