The Rapid d’intervention Battalion (BIR) has apprehended the operational commander of Biafra Nations League (BNL), Henry Edet in connection with the Black Marine, a militant group that has killed scores of Cameroonian troops.
NEWSBREAK reports that Edet was said to have been apprehended in his residence in Atabong East, in the ceded Bakassi Peninsula side of the South West region of Cameroon.
Sources confirmed that the BnL officer was rounded up in the early hours of Wednesday.
As of the time of publishing this report, there is no official statement from the leadership of the BnL.
