Children die as fire guts Borno IDP camp

On Tuesday, tragedy hit Borno when fire destroyed the Muna Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in the North-Eastern state’s Muna district.

The event at the Muna Alamdari IDP camp in Maiduguri claimed the lives of two children.

At the time of filing this report, the remote cause of the fire could not be determined.

Furthermore, the Borno State Police Command and the state administration have yet to react on the occurrence.

Borno has been plagued by the Boko Haram insurgency for more than a decade, killing thousands and displacing many people.
