Community places N10m bounty on killers of Anambra villagers
Ezinano Community in Awka has condemned the recent massacre in Nibo community in Awka South Local government area which claimed 16 lives during a traditional festival, placing N10 million reward for anyone who can provide information on the perpetrators.
Ezinano, which shares affinity with Nibo, was particularly affected as it lost some of its residents in the massacre.
Leader of the community, Chief Jeff Nweke, announced the bounty during the second edition of Ezinano Day, which is a celebration of the community’s culture and heritage.

While declaring war on cultism in Ezinano and surrounding communities, Nweke vowed to avenge future deaths connected to cult activities.
He said: “We will not rest until justice is served. Ezinano community will not tolerate violence or cultism. We urge anyone with information to come forward and help bring the perpetrators to justice.”
