Confusion as another gas explosion hits Lagos

Three weeks after a gas explosion rocked Iju-Ishaga of Lagos, another explosion has hit a gas station at Baruwa, Alimosho Local Government of Lagos with the number of casualties presently unknown.

According to reports, the explosion occurred around 5.44am at Best Roof Gas Station located at Unity Bus Stop, Fatade area of Baruwa.

“It all started around 5.44am and a thick smoke has engulfed the whole area. There is confusion everywhere now and everyone in the area is running for their dear life,” a resident of the area said.

The fire is said to be raging in the area as of the time of this report (7.40am) as officials of the Lagos State Emergency Maintenance Agency (LASEMA) and other rescue agencies were making their way to the scene.
