Container from truck falls on couple’s car in Oyo

A couple escaped narrowly d3ath in Ogbomoso, Oyo state, as a container fell on their car in Ogbomoso, Oyo state.

The incident occurred on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at Ogbomoso High School area.

According to Ogbomoso Insight, the incident happened a few minutes after the couple parked and disembarked from their car to buy some items.

“It was a narrow escape. The couple just packed their car and got down to buy some items at the side of the metal scrap yard,” an eyewitness told the publication.

“That’s when the trailer had its large container fall on the car. Thank God no other person was in the car.”

It was learnt that the trailer with registration number Nasarawa JZ 101 ZA, tried to avoid a head-on collision with a bus going in the opposite direction whose driver was busy using his mobile phone and so lost concentration.

“It was while the trailer driver tried to avoid hitting the bus that he slipped in a ditch and fell on the packed car,” the witness added.
