Coscharis enlivens Nigerian auto market, unveils All-new Ford Territory

Nigeria’s new vehicle market has received a boost as Coscharis Motors introduces an all-new Ford Territory, a midsize sport utility vehicle (SUV).

The unveiling, which took place on Wednesday at the newly opened Ford Showroom in Victoria Island, Lagos, was attended by Ford customers and motoring journalists.

Deputy Group Managing Director, Coscharis Group, Mr Fred Amobi, said at the official launch of the vehicle that the all-new Ford had been designed for tech-savvy automobile enthusiasts.

He stressed that the vehicle came with the latest technology and comfort that would satisfy the work and leisure needs of its customers and other stakeholders.

Amobi said, “Coscharis Motors, our flagship subsidiary and the exclusive representative of the iconic Ford brand in Nigeria, is today laying emphasis on the leadership status within the Nigerian automobile ecosystem with the introduction of the All New Ford Territory.”

He said Coscharis Motors had put all necessary measures in place to ensure that people would enjoy the best ownership experience when they purchase the all-new Ford Territory.

“As with all the brands and nameplates that we represent in Nigeria, Coscharis Motors has invested heavily in both human and material resources in order to ensure that all necessary support including workshop equipment, certified OEM trained technicians and OEM approved original parts and accessories required to keep the vehicle in top shape, for optimum performance at all times, are readily available,” he said.

He also said, “Our steadfastness in the regular introduction of new innovative products into the Nigerian automobile industry underpins the level of confidence we repose in the possibility of a revamped national economy.”

According to him, “this is also evident in our huge investment in our automobile assembly plant located in Awoyaya, Lagos, where we currently assemble the Ford Ranger and other brands.

“With a sense of humility, I am excited to say that our product line-up is one of the strongest and most diverse in Nigeria, but with the introduction of the Ford Territory, it is clear that we will keep dominating the automobile sector of the market.”

He was optimistic that the new vehicle would get huge acceptance in Nigeria, adding, “this will motivate us to add the nameplate to the list of our locally assembled Ford vehicles in our stable.

“This will surely translate into opportunity for more job creation, manpower development and reduced product price amongst other things.”

Deputy General Manager, Ford Sales, Coscharis Motors, Justin Ngini, who provided detailed features of the new car, said it came with 1.8 litre engine, offering topnotch fuel economy.

Some of its unique features highlighted are stylish and dynamic exterior.

The Ford Territory SUV is equipped with Automatic High Beam Headlights, which provide great illumination and performance whenever it is needed.

Inside, the SUV is equipped with a large interior space for driver and passengers, just as it adds practicality to the ample cargo space in the trunk.

The highpoint of the event was a new customer’s experience of the Ford Territory shared by Mr A. Tony who spoke glowingly about the beauty, fuel economy and prestige it offers him despite the pocket-friendly cost of the vehicle.
