Couple abducted in gunmen attack on Edo
Three individuals, including a couple identified as Mr. and Mrs. Inebo, were kidnapped by gunmen near the Fugar axis in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
The abduction reportedly took place around 7 p.m. on Sunday along the Fugar-Ekperi Road as the victims were returning to their village after attending an event in Fugar.

Sources revealed that a third victim managed to escape during the gunmen’s attempt to relocate them to another area, leaving the couple still in captivity.
The Edo State Police Command spokesperson, SP Moses Joel Yamu, confirmed the incident.
He stated that operatives are actively combing the area to ensure the safe rescue of the victims.
“The police are on the trail of the kidnappers and are confident that the victims will be rescued unharmed, while efforts to arrest the perpetrators are ongoing,” Yamu said.
