Court dissolves Paul Okoye, Anita’s marriage
The eight-year marriage of Paul Okoye to Anita has been dissolved by a high court in Abuja.
Anita, who got married to Paul in 2014, cited cheating, separation, being an absent father, fraud and difficult experiences as reasons for seeking a divorce.
She requested a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of her husband’s mansions.
In the divorce petition signed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S at an Abuja High Court of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Anita had earlier claimed that she contributed N10 million as an agreement with her husband that she would be granted space at the mall he had just completed in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
She, however, claimed Paul Okoye cheated her out of a deal.
The petition read in part, “That I know as a fact that the petitioner founded a company called TannkCo in 2019.
“That the petitioner and the respondent agreed to build a mall where TannkCo would have its main offices, and the petitioner contributed N10,000,000.00 (Ten Million Naira) for the purchase of the land and the building of the mall.
That I know as a fact that the respondent, upon completion of the mall, reneged on the agreement and failed to give TannkCo a space in the mall.”
However, Anita decided to withdraw the claims and opted to settle following alleged inability to prove the claims in her petition to the court.
The court, in its ruling, granted joint custody of the children to the parties on October 20, 2022.

Sanwo-Olu appoints KWAM1’S daughter as aide
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has appointed Basirat Damilola Marshall as the Senior Special Assistant on Tourism.
Damilola Marshall, the daughter of Fuji maestro, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall popularly known as KWAM1, disclosed this on her Instanstory on Instagram Thursday.
Her appointment has been attracting congratulatory messages from Nigerians.
In a recent viral video, KWAM1, during a performance at the coronation and birthday reception of Oba Sikirullah Apena on Thursday, thanked Sanwo-Olu for appointing his daughter into his cabinet.
The fuji singer noted that it was his daughter, Damilola, who asked him to publicly thank the governor for her appointment.

She posted a flier with the logo of the Lagos State Government on her Instastory with, “Contraulations! Barrister Damilola Basirat Ayinde Marshall Esq on being appointed as SSA to the Governor of Lagos on Tourism.”
Congratulating her on the appointment, a Nigerian, Olanrewaju-Smart Wasiu, wrote, “Congratulations Barr. @damimarshall_ on your appointment as the Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Tourism. This is a deserving recognition for your hard work and contributions to our party”, to which she responded by saying “Thank you, sir.”
Another person, Balogun Basia wrote, “Please, join me in congratulating my friend K1 and the entire family on the appointment of my daughter Barrister Basirat Damilola Marshall as the SSA to the governor of Lagos State on Tourism. Damilola, this shall be the beginning of many good things that will come your way and that of your siblings Insha Allah, Alaumoh Amin.”

BREAKING: Popular Gospel singer Morenikeji ‘Egbin Orun’ is dead
Popular Gospel singer Morenikeji Adeleke, also known as Egbin Orun, is dead.
Her death was confirmed in an Instagram post by her colleague Esther Igbekele.
The gospel singer expressed shock and sadness, noting Egbin Orun’s sudden departure without bidding farewell.
According to her, the two had recently spoken, unaware of the impending tragedy.
Igbekele praised Egbin Orun’s beauty, kindness, and strong support for her ministry.

I am deeply saddened with your demise but God knows best. You will be greatly missed and your good deeds will continue to linger in our hearts. Ah Egbin Orun. Good night! Keep resting in the bosom of Christ.. Ah Gone too soon..Yeeee “.
The cause of her death remains undisclosed and no official statement has been issued.
