Cristiano Ronaldo’s mother denies rumors of rift with girlfriend, Georgina Rodriguez
Dolores Aveiro, the mother of Portuguese football star Cristiano Ronaldo, has dismissed rumors of a strained relationship between her son and his Spanish girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez. Reports from Spanish and Portuguese media suggested that the couple was on the brink of a break-up. However, the rumors were tacitly denied by Georgina, who took to social media to respond to the speculations. Ronaldo also posted a photo expressing his love for his partner on Instagram.
Despite the rumors, Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, called them “lies” in an interview with the press on the Portuguese island of Madeira, where the family hails from. “Every couple argues, but what (the press) wrote is a lie,” she said. Georgina met Ronaldo in 2016 while working as a saleswoman in a clothing store in Madrid.
