Crystal Palace deny Man City win with 95th-minute penalty
Manchester City’s stuttering title defence was dealt another blow as Michael Olise’s 95th-minute penalty earned Crystal Palace a dramatic point.
City had led 2-0 thanks to goals from Jack Grealish and Rico Lewis and appeared to be on their way to victory until Jean-Philippe Mateta equalised with 14 minutes remaining.
More drama awaited in stoppage time, when Phil Foden tripped Mateta while attempting to clear, and referee Paul Tierney pointed to the spot.
Michael Olise stepped up to slot past Ederson and ignite wild celebrations among the away fans, who had watched their team be pinned back for much of the game.

The draw, City’s third in a row at home, drops them to fourth place, three points behind leaders Liverpool.
Palace have still only won one of their past 10 games but after losing out to a stoppage-time goal by Liverpool last week, this must have felt like a victory for Roy Hodgson’s men, and was certainly celebrated like one.
Similarly, Chelsea returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 2-0 victory over a dogged Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues, beaten by Manchester United and Everton in their past two games, broke the deadlock nine minutes into the second half when Cole Palmer slotted home after fine work by Raheem Sterling.
It was 2-0 seven minutes later, Nicolas Jackson converting Palmer’s pass after Blades goalkeeper Wes Foderingham palmed the ball into the former Manchester City youngster’s path.
Also, seventeen-year-old Lewis Miley became Newcastle’s youngest Premier League goalscorer as the Magpies bounced back from Champions League elimination with a 3-0 win over 10-man Fulham.
