Daar Communications retires Dokpesi’s wife, Tosin, Tony Akiotu, Ambrose Somide, 8 others
Daar Communications Plc, owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT) and RayPower, has flushed out Tosin Dokpesi, wife of founder of the company, the late Dr. Raymond Dokpesi.
She was along with 10 other prominent directors who have spent 10 years and above in executive positions to proceed on retirement.
A source close to the company said the retirement would take effect in November.
Apart from Tosin Dokpesi, others affected are Tony Akiotu, Ambrose Somide, Paulyn Ugbodaga and Tony Uyah.

“About 11 directors that have spent 10 years and above have been asked to go on retirement. One of them is Tosin Dokpesi who is the widow of our founder and chairman Chief Raymond Dokpesi,” a worker who did not want their name disclosed told QEDNG.
Daar Communications founder Raymond Dokpesi died on May 29, 2023. His son Raymond Dokpesi Jr has been chairman since 2019. The company posted a loss of N1.6 billion for the year ended December 31, 2023.
