Dangote refinery denies report of fixing new petrol price
The Dangote Group has denied reports of a planned increase in petrol price to N600 per litre, which was attributed to the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
This is contained in a statement released on Tuesday by the company’s Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.
He said IPMAN is not a business partner of Dangote refinery and has no authority to speak on the company’s behalf. Chiejina said no discussions regarding petrol price had occurred between Dangote Refinery and IPMAN and urged the public to disregard any speculative announcements.
The statement further assured stakeholders that official updates or statements would be communicated through the appropriate channels.
