Human rights lawyer and activist, Dele Farotimi, has approached the Lagos State High Court, filing a lawsuit over his recent arrest by officers of the Ekiti State Police Command.

Farotimi’s lawyer, Ralph Nwoke, shared this development, detailing the police raid on Farotimi’s office that took place on Tuesday, December 3.

“We’re in court. We’ve filed a fundamental human rights application before the Lagos State High Court. We’re trying to get further information on what happened today,” Nwoke stated.

Nwoke claimed that the police officers confiscated phones and other devices belonging to staff members at Farotimi’s office and issued threats to anyone who questioned their actions or inquired about Farotimi’s whereabouts.
