Dino Melaye wins Kogi PDP governorship ticket
Senator Dino Melaye has won the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship ticket for Kogi State.
Melaye was announced as winner at the party’s congress held at Kefas Multipurpose Hall on Sunday, scoring over 50 per cent of the votes cast.
Melaye polled over 313 votes to beat his closest rival Idoko Ilonah who scored 124 votes.
Melaye will face Ahmed Ododo, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in the governorship election scheduled to take place on November 11.
