Driver arrested for killing two students in Ondo

The driver that crushed two students to death in Ondo State has been arrested.

Within Nigeria had reported on Thursday that the students were killed in a fatal along the Akure-Ondo Expressway on Wednesday evening.

The victims, Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, were students of the Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji.

They were on a motorcycle when they were hit by a speeding Toyota Camry, killing them instantly.

However, the police in Ondo State have now arrested the driver (whose identity has not been revealed) for killing two students.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, confirmed the arrest of the driver and stated that the suspect is now in police custody. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to a morgue.

She said, “The bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue, and the driver of the vehicle is now in police custody.”
