Drunk driver crushes to death son of ex-Lagos military governor during cycling

Dr Olaolu Mudashiru, son of a former Lagos Military Governor, Group Captain Gbolahan Mudashiru, died Sunday morning after he was knocked down by a motorist along the Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Dr Mudashiru, a surgeon and finance expert in his fifties, was a co-founder and Deputy Managing Director of VETIVA, one of Nigeria’s leading Capital Management firms.

He was said to be engaged in morning cycling along the road with a team of cyclists when a drunk driver rammed into his bicycle.

He was reportedly rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.

Muyiwa Omolulu, from Kigali, Rwanda, who said he attended the Nigeria Military School, Zaria, with the victim and remained until his death, stated, “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing this morning of a senior Ex-Boy, Dr Olaolu Mudasiru (Dr. Bob) of a cycling accident in Lagos by 5am.”
