EFCC arrests seven Internet fraudsters in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.

The suspects are Peter Omega Awupri, Philip Okonkwo, Emeka Okonkwo, Williams Chukwu, Stephen Anthony, Edobor Osas and Adetola Sunday.

According to a post on the official Twitter page of the EFCC, the seven suspects were arrested in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja on Tuesday.

The EFCC noted that the suspects were arrested following credible intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.

“Eight phones, four laptops, three international passports, smartwatch, a Lexus, and Toyota cars were seized from the suspects,” the EFCC said.

“They will be charged to court as soon as the investigations are concluded.”
