EFCC busts 21 internet fraudsters, recovers exotic cars in Benin + Photos

In an early morning, in Benin city, Edo State, operatives of Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, the Economic and Finanancial Crimes Commission on Tuesday arrested 21 suspected internet fraudsters and recovered exotic cars.

Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesperson of the Commission said in a statement that the operation was carried out by operatives of Benin zone of the agency.

He listed the recovered from the suspects to include two Mercedes Benz, two Lexus ES 350, one Lexus RX 330 and one Toyota Camry, HP Laptops and mobile phones.

He said the operation was carried out following actionable intelligence to EFCC.

Uwujaren listed the arrested suspects to include Alakpa Marvelous, Hoghomhen Jude Moses, Christopher Odion, Azanuwna Joseph, Godfirst Christopher, Eghosa Osaretin, Onus Honda, Barnabas Alakpa, Junior Azanuwna, Ehis Inegbinebor Francis, Godbless Eriugo, Imokhai Dickson, Epama Francis, Ekuma Austin and Sunday Stanley.

Others are Kelly Alakpa, Amiole Paul, Iweriebor Raphael, Sunday Christian, Imozemhe Raymond and Agbonghae Anthony.

EFCC, in the statement said the suspects have made useful statements and will be charged to court soon.
