Eight killed, many injured in Borno landmine explosion
Two commercial vehicles driven through some landmines along Ngala-Dikwa road in the Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State caused a explosion that killed at least eight people.
Many people caught in the explosion were also seriously injured, it was learnt on Tuesday.
A report by Daily Trust states that the incident occurred at 10:30am around Kinewba village in Ngala.
The incident reportedly happened about 115 kilometres away from Maiduguri, the state capital.
A security source said the two vehicles involved in the incident were damaged beyond repairs.
