EKEDC MD Sanda removed, Momoh steps in

Managing Director, Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), Tinuade Sanda, and other executives and staff members in the company have been relieved of their appointment.
This followed a directive by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC).
Her removal is contained in a letter signed by the Chairman, EKEDC, Dere Otubu, and dated March 21, 2024.
The letter stated, “You are hereby relieved of your role, office, and position at EKEDC, effective immediately, and returned to your employer, WPG Ltd. WPG is the core investor in EKEDC.
Meanwhile, the EKEDC on Tuesday announced the appointment of another female, Mrs Rekhiat Momoh, as its the Acting CEO.
Momoh has over 31 years experience in the power sector, rising through the ranks from the days of NEPA, PHCN and now EKEDC.
A consummate marketing professional by training, she holds an MBA from Lagos State University.

She is a fellow of several professional bodies including Nigeria Institute of Management, National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria and several others.
