Emefiele: Tell us the truth, stop embarrassing yourselves- Ezekwesili slams DSS

Oby Ezekwesili, a former Minister of Education has taken a swipe at the Department of State Security, DSS, over the charges levelled against Godwin Emefiele, the suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

On Tuesday morning, July 25, the DSS dragged Emefiele before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos state on a two-count charge of illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Expressing dismay at the charges filed against Emefiele, She wondered why he was not charged for the monetary policy that led to the deterioration of the economy.

‘’So after all the monetary policy damage his boss @MBuhari and the former @cenbank committed against the Nigerian economy and people, it is for “illegal possession of firearms” that State Security charged him to court? Nonsense.”
