President Muhammadu Buhari has approved Monday May 24 as a work free day for members of the Armed Forces.
He also ordered the national flag to be flown at half-mast from Monday to Wednesday in honour of Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru, the late Chief of Army Staff and 10 others who died in a plane crash on Friday.
Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, announced this in a statement on Sunday.
“The President has similarly approved a work free day for members of the Armed Forces on Monday 24 May, 2021,” he said
Mustapha said the President ordered that the flag be flown at half-mast in all public buildings, facilities and official residences from Monday, May 24 to Wednesday, May 26th.
