The Ethiopian government has banned Nigerians from receiving visa on arrival upon entering the country.
The ban was disclosed in a statement released by the Ethiopian government.
It stated that Nigerian travellers should obtain their visas from it’s embassy in Abuja before travelling to Ethiopia.
“Please, be informed that effective immediately, no more visas on arrival for Nigerian citizens.

“Passengers having a layover in Addis to travel the next morning to Zanzibar, Seychelles, Lusaka, Lilongwe, Harare, Cape Town, etc., are not affected by the ban and do not need a transit visa for their trips.”
This is coming in the wake of the travel restrictions faced by Nigerians across the globe.
On September 1, Abike Dabiri, CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), announced that Nigerians below the age of 40 would no longer be granted entry into the country as tourists.
Dabiri stated that the only exception will be for those applying for family visas.
