Everton stun Man United at Old Trafford with 10 men in historic Premier League victory
Everton pulled off a remarkable 1–0 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday night, despite playing more than 80 minutes with 10 men. The dramatic Premier League encounter saw Idrissa Gueye sent off in the 13th minute after slapping teammate Michael Keane during a disagreement.
The numerical disadvantage did not stop the visitors, as Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall curled a superb effort into the top corner past goalkeeper Senne Lammens in the 29th minute — the only goal of the match.
United failed to capitalise on their advantage, struggling to create clear chances as they slumped to their fourth defeat of the season, raising further questions about their consistency under manager Ruben Amorim.

For Everton boss David Moyes, the victory was especially historic. It marked his first-ever win at Old Trafford as an opposing manager, and the Merseyside club became the first team to win at Old Trafford with 10 men.
Moyes praised his players’ resilience, saying:
“I’m incredibly proud of the players and supporters. We’ve come close many times here but tonight we got over the line with 10 men. It was probably the hardest way to get a result, but the team showed real toughness and character.”
Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim conceded that Everton were superior on the night.
“They were the better team with 11 and with 10,” he said. “We lacked intensity and didn’t take advantage when they went down to ten men. This feels like a step back — not just because of the result but because of the way we played.”
Manchester United travel to Crystal Palace on Sunday, while Everton host Newcastle United a day earlier as Premier League action continues.
