For his heroic match-winning strike from the penalty spot and his impressive performance in Hammarby 4-3 home win over Oestersunds, former junior international, Akinkunmi Amoo was adjudged the Man of the Match.
Hammarby were trailing 3-2 in the game at the end of the first half before the team came back and netted twice in the second half including Amoo’s 93rd minute penalty kick goal.
The former Golden Eaglets forward also scored in Hammarby’s home victory over AIK Stockholm. He has scored eight goals and created four assists from 23 games he has played in the Swedish Allsvenskan.
“The 4-3 penalty shooter Akinkunmi Amoo was named by AjaBajaCancer, who received the match value donated by the official partner Moderna Försäkringar, as the best player in Bajen after the victory with the same numbers against Östersunds FK,” the club wrote on its website.
