A former Niger Delta militant leader, Mr Endurance Amagbein, has denied allegations that he runs an illegal crude oil mining camp at Igbomotoru in Southern Ijaw council of Bayelsa State.
Amagbein claimed in a statement yesterday that the Joint Military Task Force, codenamed, Operation Delta Safe (OPDS), and a former traditional ruler were behind the allegations.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I, Endurance Amagbein, wish to set the record straight and state unequivocally that I am a peaceful and law-abiding citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I am not a militant leader and I also do not have any dealings or connections whatsoever with any illegal crude oil mining site.
Amagbein dismissed the allegations as false, malicious and mischievous.
