Facebook celeb Anwulika Udanoh speaks on divorce from Canadian hubby two months after wedding

Facebook celebrity Anwulika Udanoh and her estranged Canadian husband David Bobbit never saw it coming. Two months after they set the internet on fire with their celebrity wedding, their marriage has hit the rocks.

However the intriguing thing about the sudden crash is that it has generated the same buzz and hoopla that the wedding had earlier triggered.

However, Anwulika has been the butt of criticism since the news broke. And in a bid to defend herself, she has come out in an uncompromising and unapologetic manner, to give her own side of the story, detailing why she took the decision to opt out of the marriage, after her estranged husband David claimed, to the consternation of many that the marriage crashed two months after their celebrity wedding because she went clubbing with her cousins and friends and didn’t return until 3 a.m.

The marriage crashed because she went clubbing and didn’t return until 3am? Sure. But wait for this. While that has set tongues wagging, David claimed that when he asked Anwulika why she came back that late, given her marital status, Anwulika flared up, taking his concern as an attempt to control her. And ever since that incident, David said Anwulika had been treating him with disrespect.

Still, while David is hinging the reason for the collapse of their short-lived union on the fact that he didn’t know his estranged wife very well before they got married, Anwulika, who said she was going to remove her husband name from all her social media handles soon, has opened up on why her marriage crashed, saying that it was David who sabotaged his own marriage, despite all what he spent to make it happen.

Anwulika, who had saved her estranged husband’s name as ‘My King’ on WhatsApp, also shared the conversations they had had on that social media platform, following the disagreement over her clubbing.

According to her, she chose not to fix the marriage because she cannot deal with a man who cannot stand by his words, adding that she chose self and her happiness and cannot trade her sanity for anything. Anwulika made this known via a post on her Facebook page on Sunday August 25, 2024.

She wrote: “Lollllll…..so, he told you people that I didn’t tell him that I will be going out with my cousin that night?

“I choose NOT TO FIX anything because, I cannot deal with a man who cannot stand by his words. A man who will tell you “go and have fun”, then turn around to tell you that he said so because he doesn’t want to be seen as controlling, while being controlling. A man who sabotages his own marriage, forgetting all he spent to make it happen!

“I choose ME and MY HAPPINESS! I cannot trade my sanity for anything! I cannot leave the life I have built for myself here to go and deal with the newly discovered man that’s different from the one I married! I have seen why you people cannot leave a marriage that is not giving what you saw before going to it and resort to hide my ID here!

“The same reason most of you, despite saying that cheating is your deal breaker and you cannot do Polygamy, still endure a cheating husband and his side chic that you know, and when he gets her pregnant and marries her as second wife, you will come to social media to play victim. Meanwhile, you ENABLED the bad behaviour all along!

“Hiding your INSECURITY until after marriage will CRUSH any man who meets a woman like me because, I am ENOUGH before you come to me! That sh.t works with POOR AFRICAN women who need a man to save them from Nigeria. Not me!
