Fani-Kayode Labels Canadian Politician Goldie Ghamari “Hate-Filled” After Clash with Nigeria’s Foreign Minister on Piers Morgan Show

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has described former Canadian politician Goldie Ghamari as “emotionally unbalanced” and “hate-filled” following her confrontation with Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, on the Piers Morgan programme.

The Tuesday broadcast featured a heated debate over alleged persecution of Christians in Nigeria. In a statement shared on X, Fani-Kayode accused Ghamari of promoting religious bigotry, stoking division, and spreading false narratives about Nigeria.

He highlighted Ghamari’s controversial past, including her removal from Doug Ford’s Conservative caucus for Islamophobic remarks and the revocation of her law license in Canada over alleged professional misconduct, framing her as an unreliable commentator on global affairs.

Fani-Kayode criticized the platform that allowed Ghamari to air her views, calling her a “genocide-enabler” who “thrives on mass murder,” citing her positions on Palestine, Iran, Israel, and now Nigeria. He praised Tuggar for firmly rebutting Ghamari’s claims, stating:

“He exposed her lies, perfidy, and ignorance, skinned her alive, chewed her up, and spat her out, and I enjoyed every moment of it.”

During the show, Ghamari accused the Nigerian government of targeting Christians and enabling Islamist influence, referencing the Muslim faith of President Bola Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima, and alleged connections with Iran. Tuggar rejected her claims, noting misleading statistics, highlighting personal losses to Boko Haram, and emphasizing that all victims, regardless of religion, are treated as Nigerians.

Fani-Kayode concluded that Ghamari’s commentary trivialized Nigeria’s religious and ethnic complexities and described her views as “fuelled by hate, ignorance, and a level of malevolence rarely seen.” He lauded Tuggar for defending Nigeria’s position and exposing Ghamari’s falsehoods.
