A Federal High Court in Osogbo, Osun State, has sentenced a father of six children, Akintayo Taofeek, to seven months imprisonment for transporting 665 grams of cannabis sativa.

During his arraignment on Thursday, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) through its prosecutor, Olufemi Ijimakin stated that Taofeek transported the banned substance on October 28, 2023, to Odo Ori park, Iwo, Osun State.

The prosecutor said Taofeek committed offences punishable under section 14 (b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act, Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004.
