Fintiri maintains lead over Binani in Adamawa supplementary gov poll
Results of the Saturday’s supplementary election in Adamawa State are trickling in with 10 of 20 local government areas already declared.
So far, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State of the Peoples Democratic Party is leading Senator Aisha Dahiru Binani of the All Progressives Congress.
Fintiri was leading with 31,249 votes before the March 18 exercise was declared inconclusive.
Saturday’s rerun took place in 20 of the 21 local government areas of the state.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, Fintiri has so far polled 4,292 votes, while Binani had 3,128.
