Flooding: Allow Us Wear Shorts, Slippers To Court – Lawyer

A yet-to-be-identified lawyer in Bayelsa State has requested that they be allowed to wear shorts and rubber slippers to the courtroom.

He made the request after wading through the flood that has ravaged Bayelsa in the past few weeks.

In a video seen by Newsbreak Nigeria, the lawyer said, “This is how we have been wading through this water every day to go to court. But my own appeal is that the rules should be amended to enable us to wear shorts and rubber slippers to court because for those of us here in Bayelsa state, we are not finding it easy at all.”
