Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria has agreed to end the blockade of supplies to the South.
Its leaders gave the indication in Abuja on Wednesday in an agreement reached with some governors during a meeting.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State was said to be one of the leaders who appealed to the dealers to end the industrial action.
The union had embarked on the strike action on February 24 in protest over alleged killing and maltreatment of their members in the southern part of the country.
Secretary General of AFUCDN, Mr Ahmed Alaramma, said that the Department of the State Services invited them over the strike.
The union had vowed to continue the strike despite the move by the military to clamp down on them until the Federal Government acceded to their demands.
Some of the demands of the cattle sellers and foodstuff dealers included payment of compensation for lives of members and property lost during the #EndSARS protest and Shasha market crisis in Ibadan.
