Former Edo commissioner, Adodo, dies of COVID-19

A former Commissioner for Establishment, Labour and Special Duties in Edo State, Didi Adodo, is dead.

Adodo reportedly died on Tuesday after a battle with COVID-19 complications for a few days.

Until his death, Adodo was the General Secretary of the Iron and Steel Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ISSSAN).

Adodo has joined the list of prominent Nigerians who died from the virus.

Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof Ayo Ibidapo-Obe, and three other professors also recently died of COVID-19.

Zazzau Emirate of Kaduna State lost two princes – Iyan Zazzau, Bashir Aminu and Talban Zazzau, Abubakar Pate, a few days ago.

Aminu died from COVID-19 complications while Pate died of heart attack.
