Fubara meets with Tinubu at Aso Rock, says it’s private visit
Governor Simi Fubara of Rivers State visited President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock, Abuja, on Thursday.
The governor arrived at Villa around 5:35pm and went straight into discussions with the President.
Fubara who came out of the meeting at about 6:30pm, declined to disclose the agenda and the outcome of the meeting with journalists.
He merely said, “It was a private visit.”
The governor has been having a running battle with the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over the control of Rivers State.
President Tinubu had to intervene to calm the political tension growing in the state over the face-off.
