A fuel tanker has exploded at the Ogere end of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway causing panic and gridlock among residents, motorists and commuters in the area.
The tanker was said to have fallen near the Ogere tollgate, spilling its content on the road and went up in flames at 6am on Tuesday.
Over 10 vehicles were reportedly trapped in the incident.
Bisi Kazeem, Corps Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps, who confirmed the fire incident, said firefighters, FRSC rescue team and other security agents were already at the scene to save the situation.
