Ghanaian pastor’s iPhone snatched during prayer season on London street
A morning prayer session led by Ghanaian pastor Isaac Anderson in London took a dramatic twist when two masked cyclists grabbed his phone mid-broadcast, abruptly ending the livestream and leaving his online audience shocked.
The incident happened on Monday along Hoe Street in Walthamstow as Anderson was praying live.“Today, the 23rd of September, I declare you blessed. I declare favour upon your life, upon your business, upon your family,” Anderson declared moments before the stream was cut short by the sudden attack.
Footage later circulated on X showed the cyclists, both in ski masks, following him before seizing the device. A nearby bus honked repeatedly, possibly as a warning—but Anderson remained focused on his prayer until the screen went dark, leaving only the sound of rushing wind before the feed ended.

In a follow-up video recorded on his tablet, Anderson confirmed what had happened.“This morning, I was walking and doing a live session to declare blessings upon people’s lives. Suddenly, someone on a bike came from behind and snatched my phone, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, right out of my hand,” he explained.
The pastor expressed sorrow over losing his files but said he was trusting God for a replacement. In another video filmed from a hospital bed, Anderson revealed he was injured after falling while chasing the thieves. He urged his followers to keep him in prayer for a swift recovery.
