The Integrated Christian Ministers Association of Nigeria (ICMAN) Tuesday rejected the purported endorsement of the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Taraba state, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas by the state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
The president of the association, Bishop Silas Usman Loto, while briefing newsmen in Jalingo said the endorsement was wrong and divisive.
He stated that the letter written by CAN leadership in the state directing all Christians to vote for the PDP governorship candidate in the forthcoming governorship election was unacceptable.

He added that the Christians in the state have other qualified Christian candidates like the APC’s Sen. Emmanuel Bwacha, the SDP’s Danladi Baido and the Labour Party’s Sen. Danlami Ikenya among others and singling out one candidate for endorsement without consultation was a clear indication that CAN was bias.
He urged all Christians in the state to disregard the purported endorsement of PDP’s Agbu Kefas by CAN, adding that all Christians must pray to God for a direction regarding who to vote for in the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
