There is tension in Delta State following reported killing of four military officers in Kwale, Ndokwa West Council of the state by unknown gunmen.
Sources told The Guardian the officers were killed, on Thurday, along Kwale road, and that soldiers have invaded the community in reprisal.
It was learnt the suspected killers ambushed the soldiers, killed three on the spot, another reportedly died at a hospital, while some that sustained injuries were rushed to Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Asaba, the state capital.
When contacted, Army Public Relations Officer, Major Y.N. Kabara, said: “I’m not on ground. I travelled. I don’t have details of what happened there. I will find out, and call you back.”
